Intro - Home Page

                                                               Welcome to the home of
The Mighty Alexander High School Panthers
                                                                                        (Brookhaven, Mississippi)

This site is dedicated to the preservation of the rich history of the now defunct Alexander High School of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Alexander High School was a black segregated school in the deep south that had its struggles with the ugly heads of social and racial inequalities. A school strongly supported by the surrounding community held its ground when it came to top education of its students despite the taunts of being blamed of being inferior citizens. In an effort to immortalize the memories and manners of an institution that is long past; the internet is the tool of choice to give that immortality.
Alexander High School was a school rich in tradition and pride. It educated some of the brightest of this nation's population. It is not fit and proper that such an institution would one day be forgotten. For the many generations that were groomed for the world through Alexander; triple that amount of future generations should always be reminded of such a legend. Now the legend can be accessible to the world by way of the computer and internet.
Alexander High School is God's Gift to the blessed city of Brookhaven, Mississippi. As long as there is Brookhaven, Mississippi; there will always be a part of its history called "Alexander High School."

The heritage of a dream realized is the culmination of labor sacrificed .......................

**Breaking news**Breaking News - "Alex the Panther" has been unanimously declared as the official mascot of Alexander High School. Meet "Alex the Panther" in the pictures above.

"Alex the Panther"
After many years of not having a name for the famous panther that appears as the mascot for Alexander High School; the Web-Site Committee has voted to name the famous Panther, "Alex the Panther". The logos used in this website features "Alex the Panther" in the foreground of a full moon; perched atop of the letter "A"; stationed between two globes symbolizing the achievements of former Alexander High School students worldwide. This logo was voted on and approved by the Reunion Committee in 2006 to go on t-shirts that were received in the reunion packets. This logo also appeared on T-shirts worn by Alumni and friends during the Alexander High School Reunion 0f 2006. This is just another means of incorporating ideas to keep Alexander High School Alive. Long Live Alexander High School!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
